5 new films have succeeded to grab the permit for autumn screening in the domestic cinema theaters.
According to a local media report, Iran cinema theaters will host ‘Sheeple’, directed by Hooman Seyyedi, ‘Old Road’, by Manijeh Hekmat, ‘Mahoora’, by Hamid Zargar-Nejad, ‘Sophie & The Beast’, by Mehdi Karampour, ‘Hashtag’ by Rahim Behboudifar from August 26, 2018.
“Two brothers are running and making Crystal meth in a hidden laboratory in middle of nowhere of an urban jungle and they do care for the honor of their neighborhood. All of a sudden a mobile footage on their sister’s spreading everywhere and this causes some strange incidents,” a short synopsis for ‘Sheeple’ reads.
'Old Road' narrates the story of a woman who faces challenges right on the eve of Persian New Year.
The war-themed film ‘Mahoora’ depicts the story of a border village in Iran where people have a strange local custom.
‘Hashtag’ depicts some family issues such as the effect of internet and smart phones on family relations.
